We have enjoyed gorgeous weather and bright blue skies. It has also meant cold nights, which causes the frost line to go deeper. That in turn brings its own challenges.
In our last update, we mentioned that we still needed a trench dug for the power and gas. The Lord provided a friend, Dan, to do it, but a few feet before it was finished, our Mini Excavator broke. Dan came out the following day with his MiniX and got it done. Then we were told that the bottom of the trench was not smooth enough for the electrician to lay the cable! The clock was ticking, but our calls to find a worker proved futile. It seemed a miracle to us, when after a number of days we heard that the electrician could take care of it--and he did. That done, we still had to wait for the repair of the equipment for Don to be able to fill the trench. Just before yesterday's snow storm (which turned out to be much less than expected), Don was able to fill enough of the trench that we don't have to jump over it to get to the cabin.
Micah and Wyatt built the pump house before pulling out from this project. Rob is coming to insulate it on Tuesday.

Joe, whose team insulated the cabin, is talking with Don.

Below a picture of the kitchen area after the dry wall was hung. And lastly, a picture of the north side (the main entrance to the cabin).
