First Aid/CPR/AED Training

November Word of the Month

Word of the Month for November is “Gratitude”

With November being the month of Thanksgiving I know it would be easy to say the word of the month should be Thankful, Thankfulness or Thanksgiving but I believe there is a word that goes even deeper and that is “Gratitude.” We need to have an attitude of gratitude for all God provides for us. We can express an attitude of gratitude towards our fellow PAX who are always looking out for each other, especially the six. We can express an attitude of gratitude to our Veterans who sign a blank check when they raise their right hand and are sworn in to protect and serve. We can show an attitude of gratitude to our first responder's who do the very same thing on our own soil. Sometimes we forget about those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect us and our families. The dictionary defines gratitude this way: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. I for one am all for this world returning kindness especially in our society today. If we all were to practice a little more radical kindness what a difference it would make in our everyday lives. Gratitude draws us close; the Scriptures say that God inhabits the praises of His people. God lives in the place of praise. So for November, at least, and I hope much longer, lets work to show gratitude for each other and to practice radical kindness to everyone we come in contact with. Amen? Amen!
