Mountain SOL isn't just an afterschool program. It's not just a school.
It's a place where kids can explore, create, imagine, and evolve. It's a place where kids are pushed outside their comfort zone to build leadership skills and learn life-long lessons in teamwork and responsibility.
Mountain SOL is about connection - connection to self, to friends, to community, and to a greater circle of life.
And you know what? Kids love it.
That's where you come in! Since we started in 2014, the majority of our operations have been volunteer-led. This has worked because we have gathered a dedicated and passionate team. We all sacrifice our time and energy for Mountain SOL because we fully believe in the importance and value of our work.
But, to keep up with the (exciting!) growth of our little school, we need to dedicate more time to the nitty gritty administrative work associated with the likes of insurance requirements and business licensing.
So, we started a fundraiser.
We don't ask for help often and we wouldn't ask now if we didn't need it. This fundraiser is a specific ask to help us pay our hard-working team for the work they are doing to make sure we continue to grow and thrive.
We're in a transition period. We either dedicate more time to Mountain SOL or we fall behind and lose out on opportunities for growth into the community. With all transition, however, comes amazing growth. On the other side of this transition, we will be able to offer Mountain SOL to many more kids!
