Tyler Hill (Canterbury) Adventure Race

Hi there, 

There are just a few days to go to our second event of the Autumn/Winter Series. It is taking place at Tyler Hill Memorial Hall, Canterbury, on Sunday 25th November. It's our second event in Kent, and you can enter by clicking the link here.  We have the 4 hour Experience and 2 hour Sprint Adventure Races, as well as the 2 hour Trail Run only and the 2 hour Mountain Bike only events. We had a good turn out last year, and, with just two weeks to go, the take up has been reasonable, so there's some good racing in prospect. 
 

The Tyler Hill Memorial Hall is a large, modern venue, with showers, and it is close to Canterbury - Summer Lane, Tyler Hill, Canterbury CT2 9NJ

The weather


The forecast continues to look quite wintery at the moment, with low temperatures coming in from the Arctic. In any case, keep an eye out on the forecast, and come well prepared for any weather conditions on the morning.

Registration will be open from 08:30am, Here, you will be handed your waterproof maps and timing dibber. The transition will be set up outside,at the back of the Hall. There is a mass start for all the events by the transition at 10am, with MTBO going off at 30s intervals.  Remember a pen to mark up your waterproof maps! Entry on the day carries an additional £5 administration fee.

NOTE: EXPERIENCE EVENT ONLY - We are now offering a flexible start time, from 8.30am (register from 7.30am), until the mass start at 10.00am.

NOTE: ALL OTHER EVENTS - As a result of some feedback we have had, we are offering a flexible start from 9.15am until the mass start at 10.00am

There is plenty of Parking in the Main Car Park at the Hall, as well as in the field by the Hall. The overflow car park entrance is just past the Hall, on the right hand side..

Train. Canterbury West Train Station is about 1.7 miles to the South of Tyler Hill.  The route link is .here 

Baggage can be left at your own risk within the Hall, or next to your spot in Transition. Your car is close by for any valuables.

We can label and look after your keys at Registration, if required.


Tea and Cakes, There will be the usual cakes and hot/cold drinks, including home made soup, for sale, to enjoy while you plan your route and then when you return. 

Presentations to those who score the highest points in each category on the day will be made shortly after all the results are in.
