Volunteer Support Officer at Healthwatch Swindon
Healthwatch Swindon, part of The Care Forum, are recruiting for a Volunteer Support Officer. Main tasks include: developing a team of volunteers to grow and lead the Healthwatch project; supporting the volunteers to contribute to programmes or pieces of health and social care related work; extending and diversifying the reach of volunteer recruitment; and working to motivate and retain recruited volunteers. The post is 18.5 hours per week, £22,401 – £25,463 pro rata (NJC 24-28). Closing date for applications is 10th December 2018 at 9am.

SAM has created a flexible and responsive accessible advocacy service enabling people to participate as fully as possible in any decision to maintain their independence and secure the rights and services they are entitled to. SAM are looking for a qualified Independent Advocate or someone who is interested in developing a career in advocacy and standing up for the rights of others. They offer a complete package of support, supervision and training including City & Guilds level 3 Independent Advocacy unit 301. This is a fixed term 18 month contract.

Project Coordinator at Dolphins’ Den
Dolphins’ Den is an initiative that supports people with a learning disability to set up their own business. They run a series of workshops followed by one-to-one mentoring by volunteer mentors from the local business community.
The Dolphins’ Den Project Coordinator position is a unique opportunity for someone with high attention to detail and coordination and administration experience to take on a new challenge! You will be helping to satisfy rigorous ESF and Big Lottery funding requirements by gathering participant documentation and completing monthly financial claims. You will also support the Project Lead to run fun and interactive monthly workshops for people with a learning disability around Swindon and Wiltshire, so good communication and people skills are essential.
