Take Michael, he and his mom were going through hard times as he was discovering his LGBTQ+ identity. They were struggling together and individually. Michael's mom was grappling with alcoholism and finding a job. Wanting the best for her child, she brought Michael to The Diversity Center.

He joined our youth group and told us, "Ever since I have been involved with this community, I have really blossomed." Michael's mom found a job and is now clean and sober and says, "There was no judgment at The Diversity Center. There was no, ‘You are a lousy mom.’ There was just, ‘We want to love you too.’”
