Guernsey Electricity Ltd have recognised the business value in working towards accreditation in both an EMS (14,001) and HSMS (45,001). Angus McLellan GEL’s HSE Manager is going to explain how these standards are being embedded into the business and how they work in practical terms. He will explain the 11 elements of a successful Management System and how this differs from the traditional HSE Policy. Angus will also highlight some of the successes and the pitfalls of implementing a Management System. The Presentation will also have input from Alex Herschel, GEL’s Environmental Sustainability Manager who has been very much to the fore in the implementation of these standards.
