“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them." Acts 20:28-30

NOVEMBER 2018

Dear <<First Name>>,

This past year our church in Geneva has been going through a period of being tested, tried and challenged. “Savage wolves” in sheep’s clothing crept in to attack our flock. We have spent most of our time examining false doctrine, meeting with disgruntled people, exposing lies and sharing the truth of God’s word. Many departed and closed the door to logic, truth and the word of God.

But, we are so encouraged because the majority of those who stayed display a love for Jesus and His word. Our faith and love for Christ will always be tested through trials, and how we respond to God’s word will reveal its genuineness. Our church consists of many who live in France and Switzerland. They come from all over to hear faithful teaching and they diligently seek to apply those truths while living out their faith in spiritually dark Europe.

Please pray for our current leaders who have the task of transitioning the church back to having godly men to fulfill the role of elders again. The Lord has given me many opportunities to help them through this process along with creating and translating bible studies, teaching the bible study leaders and serving wherever there is a need. The Motto of The Master’s Seminary where I graduated is as follows: “We train men, because lives depend on it.” Lives do depend on discipling men to handle God’s word accurately and faithfully. Only the true gospel can save souls and faithful teaching can keep souls healthy in the midst of spiritual warfare.

Passing on what God has entrusted to me through years of biblical studies and ministry has been a great joy in the midst of combatting false doctrine. Being part of God’s plan by helping those who are thirsty to learn and live out their faith makes the trails in ministry worth it!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION from GMI concerning usOver the past year our financial support has dropped significantly. GMI has notified us that we need to let you know that our support is in "dire need." We are in the process of planning a furlough at the beginning of 2019 and hope to visit all of you who are such a vital part of our lives and ministry. We are so grateful for your partnership. If anyone is interested in partnering financially, please follow the instructions at the end of this prayer letter.
Thank you for being a major part of this ministry through prayer and support. Please pray that before we depart on a furlough in the winter of 2019 that our church here in Geneva will continue to grow into a healthy church. We thank God for our faithful colleagues John and Meg Glass who will continue to press on in the ministry of the EEIG.
