The equipment has begun to arrive and we are finalizing our installation plans. Thank you for your patience - we promise it will be worth the wait!
Look at all those kiosks! The Biki Crew's working hard to unpack & prepare the equipment for expansion.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Within the next few weeks you can expect the addition of approximately 30 stations and 300 bikes, thanks to federal Transportation Alternative Program funds.
New sites, current service area: About a third of the new Biki Stops will be within our current footprint. These additional stations will increase the availability and convenience of bikeshare as ridership and demand continues to grow in the urban core. New stations on Kamakee St. & Kapiolani Blvd. and Kamoku St.& Hihiwai St. were identified in response to requests to increase station density in these neighborhoods where Biki already exists.
Same sites, more docking points: Expect to see more docking points added to 5 - 10 of our existing, high-use stations.

"I work at an architecture firm in Downtown and I route permits to and from the Honolulu Building Department about 15 times each month. It takes me approximately 15-20 minutes when I am walking versus 5 minutes when Biki-ing. I save money as a Biki member because I can take a 5 minute ride and still have remaining minutes available for the next trip instead of forking over the 30 minute single ride fare."
