Are Sundays more sacred?
"If the holiness of every day and every thing is all so ingrained in Quaker tradition why is it that the majority of Quaker meetings happen in historical buildings on a Sunday morning for exactly an hour?" asks Jon Martin as he shares his varied experiences of meeting for worship.

Remembrance for peace
- Almost half a million children across Britain took part in 'remembrance for peace' events as part of Inspire. Friends House in London saw one thousand children fill its central hall with a moving mix of drama, music and reflection.
- The Library at Friends House explores how Quakers in 1918 felt peace could be achieved after the war.

Remembering the Kindertransport
80 years ago Quakers accompanied the Jewish delegation to plead the case for the Kindertransport. Around 10,000 children went on to be evacuated to Britain between 1938 and the outbreak of WWII in 1939. Find out about today's commemoration event at Friends House, London, read the Library's blog on Quaker work with refugees during WWII, and learn more about the history of Quakers and the Kindertransport.
