A box of chocolates

In honor of all of you who deal with difficult life circumstances, I wanted to let you know how proud I am of your courage, and how you inspire me daily. Thank you for being part of my life!
I would also, once again, like to share this wise phrase from iPEC (I’m sure you remember me saying this before): “Life is a perfect adventure, a game that cannot be won or lost, only played!” I find this statement very freeing.
When you’re being truly yourself (authentic) and you open up to the possibilities in life, you become empowered to try new things and experience all these opportunities have to offer. Instead of trying to control the outcome of what is presented to you, it can be much more enjoyable to experience the excitement of not knowing what “might” happen and let yourself be surprised. There is no need to control everything. Being free of the need to control frees you from expectations. Without expectations, there cannot be disappointment. And, it is when you give up the need to control that you gain ultimate control!

Not as easy as it sounds, right? But definitely something I’m working on now.
To quote Forrest Gump, “My momma always said, ‘Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.’” I don’t know about you, but I love chocolate!!! And, I love being surprised by the piece I choose. So, time for me to take a taste! There is no losing, only playing.
