Vivek Shenoy and the Power of Penn
Last month, Penn President Amy Gutmann hosted a panel discussion in Boston as part of the “Power of Penn” campaign. This event was one of several being held in major cities, aiming to raise $4.1 billion for the University’s priorities, underpinned by the commitment to innovation, inclusion, and impact. The panel featured highly interdisciplinary researchers from across the university, including Vivek Shenoy, the Eduardo D. Johnson & Johnson Start-Up Incubator JPOD Hosts Five Engineering Companies
Penn has launched a new partnership between the University and Johnson & Johnson Innovation known as JPOD. The partnership is a start-up incubator designed to accelerate innovative health care technologies. Of JPOD’s first seven resident businesses, five are operated by Penn Engineering affiliates, including Avisi Technologies, co-founded by Brandon Kao (pictured right), alumni of Materials Science and Engineering. READ MORE

Agarwal Group Puts Spin on Photons
