Publications, Honors, Awards and More!

Some recent highlights from the AIIS community:

Performing & Creative Arts Fellow Aakash Mittal's Awaz Trio performed at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Junior Fellow Jazmin Graves was named one of the Global Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent Under 40.

Stepwells and Reservoirs of Western India, a photographic and multimedia exhibit by the AIIS Center for Art & Archaeology, traveled to six cities in India.

The Critical Language Scholarship program featured an alumni profile of AIIS Urdu student Jessica Garross.

Perumal Murugan's book One Part Woman, translated by Junior Fellow Aniruddhan Vasudevan, was published in the U.S. to critical acclaim.

Marathi language student Alyssa Heinze helped the Pune Road Runners running club organize a training and promo event for the Pune Half Marathon.

Trustee and Fellow Michael Fisher published An Environmental History of India, a sweeping study of the subcontinent's environmental past.
