Editorial and Social Media Interns - Paste Magazine / Decatur, GA
Paste is looking for editorial and social media interns to join us in our Decatur, Ga., office. Winter/spring internships begin in January and conclude in May. The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 16.

As always, we’re looking for smart, talented and hungry writers/editors who love music, movies and all that jazz. On the social side, we want to hear from you if you are glued to Twitter all day, and can brainstorm creative and hilarious content for all of our social platforms. Internships are unpaid, though all in-house interns will receive a $500 stipend. Typical hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, though scheduling is flexible to accommodate classes and part-time jobs. In-house candidates are preferred, though remote interns will also be considered.

Winter 2019 Apprenticeship - Viget / Multiple Locations
The Viget apprenticeship is a 10-week, paid training program designed to accelerate your career in user experience, visual design, engineering, project management, or analytics.

Intern - Feedtrail / Raleigh, NC
Feedtrail digitally distributes brief patient satisfaction surveys during medical visits — instantly gauging the patient experience, capturing key metrics on a cloud-based server, and notifying staff of problems requiring immediate resolution.

Spring Internships - 1893 Brand Studio / Chapel Hill, NC
1893 Brand Studio (DTH Media Corp.) is looking for students who are passionate about photo, video, writing, graphic design, web development or marketing to join our Web Design & Development, Multimedia and Campaigns teams. Our team members contribute to 1893Brand Studio’s portfolio of services for local clients, including MidiCi Italian Kitchen, Offline Chapel Hill, The Daily Tar Heel and more. Members of our Multimedia, Web Design & Development and Campaigns teams are responsible for attending weekly team meetings, executing assignments and coordinating with our Campaigns team to execute holistic marketing campaigns.

Students are required to work a minimum of 6 hours weekly in our Franklin Street office. Compensation opportunities are available based on the position, or after one semester of unpaid internship experience.

Developer/Opinion Visual Fellow - The New York Times / New York, NY
Join the 2019 New York Times Fellowship class as a member of the Opinion Graphics and Opinion Video teams.

The fellow will work with both teams to produce visual opinion pieces in creative new ways. The right fellow will bring skills not commonly found in our newsroom, bringing expertise in one of these areas: visualization programming, video compositing/special effects, or 3D modeling. Journalism experience is a plus, but not required.

Assistant Director of Career Services - UNC MJ-School / Chapel Hill, NC
The Assistant Director of Career Services provides a range of career preparation programs and advising for nearly 1,000 undergraduate and 50 masters students in the UNC School of Media and Journalism. The Assistant Director creates and implements engaging and enriching programs, such as networking trips with alumni in major markets; Meet the Pros sessions where students engage with industry leaders; an alumni mentorship program; and the Lookout Fellows Program and other funded internship opportunities.

The Assistant Director conducts advising sessions and workshops on internship and first job searches, helping to finetune resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles and online portfolios. The Assistant Director manages career-related communications, including a listserv of internship and job postings, social media and website. The Assistant Director manages relationships with employers, alumni, University Career Services and colleagues within the MJ-school. Staff Writer - North Carolina A&T University / Greensboro, NC
NC A&T seeks a staff writer. The staff writer, under the direction of the Director of Media Relations, will develop, write, edit and proofread a variety of informational materials (i.e., press releases, web stories, feature stories, advertisements, special communications publications, programs and social media posts) through a variety of communication channels. 

The writer will interpret and disseminate technical or program specific information through a variety of media to stimulate interest in programs, events and activities. Temporary Consultant - Merz / Raleigh, NC
