Join us for a Winter Event at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop (ESW) celebrating a year of activity at Bothy Project, Bothy Stores and ESW. Embrace the dark of our winter afternoons with an Iron Pour, Roasted Chestnuts, Workshops, Bothy Talks and Tours of ESW. This is an opportunity for followers, friends, past and future artists in residence to come together with us to share news of the year and look forward to the next.

3:30pm - 4:30pm
Hear three different experiences of Bothy Project residencies by artists Alec Finlay and James N Hutchinson, and curator Jenny Brownrigg about their residencies at Sweeney’s Bothy on Eigg and Inshriach Bothy in the Cairngorms.

Visitors can also go inside the Bothy Stores Artist Bothy currently residing in ESW's Courtyard and check out the Pioneers products by Laura Aldridge, Trakke, James Rigler & Virginia Hutchinson, Kirsty McDougall and Beca Lipscombe which will be on sale inside the bothy.

Visitors can watch the process of casting moulds with molten iron, make their own cast in aluminium, take tours of ESW’s workshops and studios. Work by artists running courses at ESW will be displayed, current artist-in-residence Amelia Tan will stage a new performance and the band Edinburgh Leisure will round-off the afternoon with a live set.
