Dr Mark Baldwin
The Enigma Machine and the work of Bletchley Park in WW2
Dr Mark Baldwin, who has been handling Enigma machines longer than anyone in the German army, provides an authoritative account of the history and operation of the machine, setting this into the context of the work at Bletchley Park, Britain’s wartime codebreaking centre.
He will be bringing an original Enigma machine for audience operation after the presentation.

Andrew Parsons, Toyota and Neil Withey, EAL
the experience and issues so far on End Point Assessments from the points of view of an awarding organisation and that of an Employer.

Mike Westlake, Panel Chair, Design and Control
and Peter Winebloom, Panel Chair, Manufacturing and Processing
Concepts and current state of content development on T levels within the Engineering and Manufacturing Route.

Mark Maudsley, GTA England
talking to us about some Engineering standards updates.

Stella Fowler, Engineering Professors Council
updating and leading discussions on degree apprenticeships within college provision.

Peter Goodhew, NMiTE (New Model in Technology and Engineering)
The New Model in Technology and Engineering (NMiTE) is being established in Hereford as the most radical re-think of engineering higher education in the UK for more than a century. This presentation will focus on what we are trying to do (a lot), and how far we have got (quite a long way). Don't attend if you are easily shocked or devoutly attached to the status quo.

Daniel Locke-Wheaton, Principal of Aston University Engineering Academy

describes how the UTC works and is successful whilst supporting young people and local employers.

Network with other providers from around the country to discuss issues and best practice during the conference and at the informal conference dinner.
