Our annual community gathering takes place next Thursday, 29th November, from 9:30-am to 4:30-pm in London. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.
The gathering is an opportunity for us to come together as a community, share updates on our work, strengthen existing relationships and make new connections. Whether you're a therapist, counsellor, organisational consultant, coach or simply interested in the work of Relational Change, you'll discover something useful in this day of exploration and discussion.
This year's theme is movement and embodied sensing, led by Helena Kallner and Marie-Anne Chidiac, and hosted by Sally Denham-Vaughan. We'll be exploring the power of non-verbal communication and how we can support contacting through movement.
Embodiment and movement – a powerful way of knowing
A relational approach to coaching, organisational consulting, and psychotherapy leans very heavily on the concepts of 'movement' and 'embodied sensing'. Indeed, the original founders of Gestalt claimed that patterns of movement, the way we walk for example, reveal core enduring themes concerning our relationships with ourselves, others, and our environment. These are implicitly sensed and responded to by others and can have a potent impact that is often outside our awareness.
With a relational approach we aim to raise awareness of these enduring patterns, exploring their impact and experimenting with change; this is true whether we work as therapists, coaches or OD consultants. Indeed, organisations often possess a powerful way of 'moving' or 'doing business' that reveals itself as we connect with them.
At the gathering we'll explore these ideas and gently experiment with seeing how we move and are moved by others. You'll find all information about the event here. We're looking forward to welcoming you!
