CTTM 2018 – Monthly Newsletter – October/November 2018

 Venue
We have a new venue!!
Please take note and pass the information on.

Due to an unforeseen complication we are unable to use the German Clubs facilities. Instead we will be dancing in the Cape Town St Martini Lutheran Church Hall.  240 Long Street, Cape Town. Co-ords: -33.922779, 18.41877.  Please also note that there are only 30 parking bays on the premises, so you will have to find parking either in Loop St or Long St. The entrance to the venue is on Long St opposite the Long St Baths. 


Walkabout down-town Cape Town Saturday 08 Dec starting at 10am

We will be meeting in the Company Gardens at the information centre at 10am. We will then make our way to Long St for a 10:30am start, where we will do a guided walk around Cape Town for 1h30min. This walk is on a tip basis for the guide,  and because we are hoping to have a group of about 20 people we will have our own guide. The tips will be collected and given to the guide at the end of the walk. There is a coffee shop  back at the Info centre in the company Gardens, that will have coffee and Milk Tart for those who wish. 


Christina Hogg

Tango has the power to connect people from all walks of life, and everyone's journey with this dance is different. Christine would like to find out what tango means to some of Cape Town's dancers, and put together a little clip to give people an insight into the CT Tango Marathon and Tango Community. She'll be at the CTTM with a camera, asking three simple questions to anyone who is willing to add their input, as well as taking some photos and video of people dancing.

T-Shirts

There will be T-Shirts available to purchase prior to this years’ marathon.  Cost of a T- shirt will be R180 (Pre ordered). The window for ordering T-shirts will close on the 16th Nov.

Please work your travel plans around these 2 amazing teachers and their workshops being held before and after the CTTM. These workshops are open to everyone not just those attending the CTTM, please come and join in the fun and energy that is being created. Cost for 4 workshops (per Teacher) is R500 or R140 per workshop. Both Sidney and Mario will be avail for private lessons throughout their stay in Cape Town.
