Retired Police Officer Louis Lufker #2100 who started 7/20/70 and retired 2/5/90 after serving in the First Precinct, Barrier Beach, Third Precinct and Sixth Precinct. Viewing was 11/11 at Moloney-Sinnicksons Funeral home, Center Moriches. Funeral was 11/12 at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Center Moriches. Interment followed at Calverton.

On Saturday, in a fitting expression of this Veterans Day weekend, the officer received a home especially built for his needs
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Matias Ferreira raised the Stars and Stripes in his front yard Saturday morning and, with his wife and daughter beside him, stepped through the front door into a new, improved place to call home.
He walked smoothly, moved easily — a hard-won achievement.

SAVE THE DATE - The 8th Precinct Annual Mobilization Drill.
On January 9th, second Wednesday of January 2019. Bonifay Golf and Country Club, in The Villages, Florida, starting at 1500 hours. Start with a cocktail or two and hang around in familial groups for dinner. Attendance at this event has, historically, been consistently high. Guys and girls have come from long and far to renew some old acquaintances and make some new old friends. All Welcome - spouses, friends, relatives, buddies !!! It's a great place to spend some time! Stay around and bunk in with your old partner and enjoy the place for awhile.
