Junglesport was a hit!
SAC wants to thank the admin and the parent community for supporting Jungle Sport in the school this week.
A special shout out to Ms. O for organizing the week long school event and to Daniela Fermo from SAC for planning the parent and child evening. Also, thank you to those who offered help when our volunteer needs changed.
Additionally thanks to all those who participated in the event Thursday night. The money raised helped offset the cost of bringing it to the school.
We at SAC think it was a great investment and added something different and new. We welcome any feedback email to junglesportatduke@gmail.com
 Holiday Breakfast & Festivities
The Duke Holiday Festival and Breakfast is coming up on Saturday November 24 from 9-11:30am. Breakfast order forms will be going home this week. Please return yours ASAP as seating is limited.
As always, our fabulous Marketplace will be open in the gym. Children will be able to secretly shop for special gifts for friends and loved ones. Items will range in price for $1-$3. Haggling is recommended!
We rely on donations for our Marketplace sale. We are requesting donations of ‘like new’ small household items suitable for small gifts (e.g. mugs, scarves, books, ornaments). No clothing please. If you have like-new items to donate, a bin is available in the office for drop off.
To help make this event a success, we will need the help of lots of volunteers from our community. Stay tuned for a volunteer callout with online sign up.
SAC Movie Night presents...
Incredibles 2
Duke’s first movie night of the year is this week on Thurs Nov 15 in the gym. We’re starting the year off with the smash hit Incredibles 2 ( more info...). Doors open at 5pm with pizza and snacks and the movie starts at 5:30pm sharp! We need volunteers to get this running so please follow this link and sign up if you’d like to get involved
 Let’s get Festive!
Once again, SAC is organizing a Poinsettia Sale. Buy a poinsettia or festive centrepiece for your table or for a friend, neighbour or loved one. Choose from a range of colours and sizes.
Please return your order form and payment to the school NO LATER than Wed, Nov 14.
All plants and festive centrepieces will be available for Pick Up at the Annual Holiday Breakfast: Saturday, November 24, from 9am to 11:30am, in the Woodfield Gym.

Indigo Adopt-A-School
Mrs. Zwolinski would like to take a moment to thank Coles in the Beach, students, parents and community members who donated to our library through the Indigo Adopt-A-School Program. In partnership with Coles in the Beach Duke of Connaught Library raised $2,234! At the top of the shopping list for the Library is the Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada published by Canadian Geographic in both English and French.

At Duke, we want to make sure that every child has warm wear for winter and food in their tummies every single day -- and can participate in field-trips and Pizza Lunch.
