Are you interested in leading a CISV program?

A great CISV experience starts with a great leader, and we do our best to make sure ours are amazing! CISV Waterloo leaders are carefully selected from applicants who are 21 or over, demonstrate a strong interest in the goals and philosophy of CISV, and have the maturity and experience to handle the responsibilities assigned to them.

If you're interested in leading a program with CISV Waterloo simply email us  to let us know you're interested. As a reminder, we offer leadership roles for several different programs:

Village (Germany, China, USA) - for 11 year olds, 28 days in a camp setting where activities surround a theme and build confidence, cultural awareness, and leadership.

Interchange (Lyon France) -  for 12/13 year olds, 2 weeks in Waterloo and 2 weeks in France where we encourage a deeper encounter between two cultures by placing young people within families and programming facilitated by two leaders.

Youth Meeting (Easter in Brazil) - for 12/13 yr olds, 15 days of camp setting where you explore aspects of a theme that affects us all, such as democracy, and share your perspectives and learn from each  other. You will also think about how you can use what you gain from your experience - new understanding and planning and communication skills - beyond the camp in your school or community.

Step Up (Indonesia) - 14 year olds, 21 days of camp setting where activities surround a theme. Delegates are facilitated by the leaders to take an active role in planning and leading camp activities. You will also think about how you can use what you gain from your experience - new understanding and planning and communication skills - beyond the camp in your school or community.
If you know someone you think might be a good fit, please spread the word and encourage them to get in touch!

Junior Leader Needed

Interchange to Lyon France is looking for a Junior Leader age 18-20 to assist in leading our delegation. Applicants please contact Marnie at leadership.cisvwaterloo@gmail.com to express your interest. Junior Leaders assist the leaders in facilitating the CISV program goals and bridging the gap between delegates and leaders. Tentative dates: June 28-July 27th 2019.

Seminar Camp applications have arrived! - due Dec 5th

Seminar Camp is a 21-day program where participants travel alone rather than in a delegation. This personally challenging, intensive program is coordinated by the participants themselves. Please download the following relevant PDF links if you wish to apply:
