Join us as we explore the wild and offbeat cinema that played the roadshows, drive-ins and grindhouses.
In the late 60s and early 70s, biker films became one of the most popular staples of drive-ins and grindhouses. They were a reinvention of all the Westerns that moviegoers loved made for a new generation. These movies told stories of modern outlaws  roaring across the country on two wheels instead of on horse back. The films delivered all kinds of thrills while taking viewers on wild adventures with the rambunctious gangs of cycle savages who lived life on their own terms. The badass papas and mamas brought their own kind of outrageous counterculture escapism to the silver screen and it was a hit with audiences. This issue is dedicated to BIKER FILMS!
Get your motor runnin' with these biker cult classics! Unfortunately, there's not a big selection of biker classics on BluRay but we've picked four we think will make a nice addition to your home video library.
Much like the Blaxploitation genre, biker movies featured really amazing music.

The sound of chopper operas would be epitomized by fuzzed out guitar licks.

Australian audiences got their own kind of biker movie with Sandy Harbutt's 1974 cult classic STONE. Ken Shorter stars as a cop that goes undercover in an outlaw motorcycle club to solve a crime.
In THE SAVAGE SEVEN Adam Roarke stars as Kisum, the leader of a gang of bikers that get caught in the middle of a mini war between Native American ranchers and corrupt land owners.
