Coding History: Innovation in the Humanities
In early October, students from diverse majors gathered to participate in the "Folger Codathon." They learned about the digital humanities—the idea that written records, humanities data, can be used in research analyses—and learned to code a dataset involving all the comings and goings of Queen Elizabeth's court. There are growing opportunities for students to become involved in the digital humanities here at UB, including possible internship opportunities in the future.
