Update on Next MGO Meeting

Recent MGO communications indicated that the next MGO meeting would be today, Monday, November 12th. The intent was to have a panel of local commentators and journalists who would review the election results.
While MGO is actively confirming an all-star roster of guests, we must reschedule this meeting until Tuesday, November 20th at 7.00pm to align with their schedules.
Therefore, please note the revised date: Tuesday, November 20th, for our next MGO meeting! More details will be forthcoming regarding the panel composition.

I am putting out a call for volunteers to be vote counting observers at the Alameda and Contra Costa Registrar of Voters (possibly in Contra Costa). Our very own Hon. Tony Thurmond and 16th Assembly member candidate Rebecca Bauer-Kanan need observers to make sure Marshall Tuck or Republican forces don’t intimidate causing important votes to be thrown out. Additionally, we may need observers for Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara to ensure he stays in the lead as well.
So please let me know if you are interested in volunteering. We need multiple people to take shifts. The hours of observation in Alameda is 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.
You can still make a difference by giving of your time. I’ll need your cell number, your email address and your candidate preference (only if it matters). Don’t tell me your time availability. I’ll turn your information over to the various candidate camps and you can work that out with them. You need to respond asap as time is fleeting.
