Supplemental and additional funding opportunities exist for SBIR/STTR awardees. The National Institutes of Health has several such opportunities.

Below are four NIH opportunities you should consider for additional and alternative funding:

I-Corps: The NIH continues to fund the I-Corps program under FOA PA-19-029.This provides up to $55,000 in funding that includes an 8-week hands on training program to help commercialize NIH funded technologies.The program is specifically designed to build entrepreneurial skills and confidence in the business model and validate key commercial hypotheses to improve the likelihood of commercialization. 2018-2019 NIH Niche Assessment Provides FREE Market Assessments to Phase 1 SBIR/STTR Awardees

Jump start your commercialization efforts with customized market research! Applications are now being accepted for the NIH Niche Assessment Program. Only 200 Phase 1/Fast-Track awardees will be selected, first come first serve, so apply today.

Re-visit SBIR Advance's NEW Eligibility Requirements - Don't miss out on $75K.

The SBIR Advance program provides state matching funds, training and other resources to Wisconsin businesses to advance the commercialization of SBIR/STTR-funded technology. SBIR Advance grants are used for commercialization activities that will accelerate business development and improve company opportunities for Phase 2 and Phase 3 federal awards and for investor funding.

Eligibility requirements have changed! If you haven't been eligible before, check again.

Phase 1 award match: Matches up to $75K or 50% of Phase 1 SBIR or STTR award.
Phase 2 award match: Matches up to $100K per year for up to 2 years of Phase 2 SBIR/STTR award.

Letter of Intent Due January 3rd
Full Application Due January 17th
