Win Your Moment!

Imagine being this close…to one of your biggest goals…and coming up just short, not once…but twice within a few months? Travis’ guest on The Weekly Yes, And Podcast for this week knows what it feels like to succeed at the highest level…and the pain of just missing out.

Logan Panchot is a college sophomore and is already an NCAA National Champion as a member of the Stanford Cardinal Men’s Soccer Team. On the eve of the NCAA Tournament Selection, Logan was gracious enough to jump on the phone with Travis to talk about the mindset, hard work, and qualities it requires to compete and live at a high level.

Travis got to know Logan while working at IMG Academy when Logan was training to be selected for the U17 National Soccer Team. As impressed as he was during that process, Travis was most impressed with how Logan responded to disappointment – and he is back on top thriving.

Whether you are a player, coach, or parent – this is a podcast you need to listen to as Logan shares his experiences as he continues to excel and live his dream.

November 12th, 2018

Okay, just because it has been 6 days since my last post does not mean I have fallen off the wagon. Far from it.

12 days in on this no sugar…no refined grains fast…and I am clean. Yup, not a single cheat. No sneaking a bit of a donut over the weekend, or a spoonful of ice cream the other night. I am rock solid my friend. 12 days…no problem.

Truth be told, my Achilles heal are baked goods…pastries. I am a donut lover. I do a lot of work in Panera, and the smell of bread and pastries is my temptress (sorry Hollister).

But, I am fine. I love the feeling of not being bloated and not feeling guilty after eating a bad meal. I am not sure if I have lost any weight, though I am sure I have not put any on. I have done some pretty extreme diets before (i.e Slo-Carb) and lost some dramatic weight. The problem is, with my frame, the first place I lose weight are in my face and clavicles, so it looks like I am sick…and it makes me look older. And, with a head full of silver hair, I don’t need to look older.

From a focus standpoint, it is nice noticing how often I think about wanting something sweet. It gives me something to look forward to, yet it never feels good after. So, without thinking about guilty pleasures, I put my attention elsewhere (like taking care of my son who is under the weather).

So I admit, nothing too exciting here…but that is life in the fast-lane!
