Principal's Message

Week 5 is almost over and the children have been busy with swimming, parish concert, west zone sports and the year six children also had a fantastic day rafting. The whole school is starting to get ready for our school production. This will be held in the Kavanagh Auditorium on Thursday 6 December. There will be more details to follow. If you can help with costumes please let Rochelle know and we will be in touch soon.

Schools would not survive without whanau support and at St Francis Xavier we are so lucky to have so many people who come along and help us regularly. We will be hosting a morning tea on Thursday 29 November as a small way of saying thank you for everything. We would appreciate if you could RSVP by the 24th November.
 

Look what arrived today. This is our Community Fruit and Vege stand. Thank you to the Taieri Mens Shed who made it for us. We will get the sign up as soon as possible and then it will be ready for use. If you have any spare fruit or vegetables you can pop them here for other people to take.
Thank you to everyone who has let us know about children starting school in 2019. If you haven't yet please do this immediately. This term is a busy term so please check the calendar carefully for dates of what is happening. As always my door is always open.

Term 4 Junior Swimming Lessons
We will have a make up day on Monday to account for missing Thursday's lesson. The children have made amazing progress in just 3 days. Thank you to the families who have paid for these lessons already. The cost is $27.50 and can be paid online or alternatively by eftpos at the office.

 

One day I was prowling through the jungle. Then suddenly I heard my prey. I leaped through the long wet grass. Then I stopped to get ready to pounce. I warmed my self up, and then with a thud the croc was dead.

Adult Baptism /Reception into the Church
 
We have some adults interested in being Baptised or received into the Catholic Church. This will involve a few sessions with Fr Fredy in preparation for Baptism/Reception into the Church at Easter 2019. If you are interested please see Pauline or Fr Fredy.

Please note orders must be into the office by 9.00am, with the child's name and room number in an envelope. Cash or tickets must be with the order, no "IOU's" or "pay later" please.
