CF Conference Heading to Perth: CFWA Subsidy Available


The Australasian Cystic Fibrosis Conference is heading to WA in 2019. We're really excited about this opportunity for our WA members!

Date: 3-6 August 2019
Venue: Crown Towers Hotel Perth
Cost: $200 if purchased before 30 November 2018 (CFWA subsidies available)

Cystic Fibrosis WA are providing up to 65 subsidies of $150 for conference registrations (reimbursement upon receipt of registration). We are also seeking further funding for travel and accommodation for members outside the metro area.

Volunteers Needed: Christmas Lights for CF

This December, Consulate Court will be lit up in bright, colourful lights to raise awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis (CF).

We are looking for 10 volunteers to help sell merchandise and spread awareness for CF on the evening of Saturday 15 December.

Regional Evening with CF Scientists


Our Evening with CF Scientists is hitting the road and heading to Bunbury this November!

Join us for this annual CF research update from researchers at the Telethon Kids Institute AREST-CF team.

Date: Friday 23 November
Time: Drinks and nibbles from 6:00pm; dinner and presentations from 6:30pm

PCH Exercise Study


Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) are looking for children with CF to participate in a study, examining the effects of different types of exercise activities.

This study will involve either 15 surfing or golfing lessons (free of charge) and will run during the Christmas school holiday break.

Charitable Acts


Heaps Cool Music are hosting a ‘Charitable Acts’ show this December and have chosen to raise awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis at the same time.

Beat the Heat this Summer

We all love summer and the holiday period but it can bring with it some challenges if you are living with cystic fibrosis (CF) or caring for someone with CF.

We've put together a few summertime tips to help you manage the warmer weather including, managing dehydration, salt replacement, nutrition and exercising in the warmer months.

Christmas is almost here!

CFWA Christmas Appeal

Parents Jodie and Jamie have been kind enough to share their story with us this festive season, to help spread awareness of cystic fibrosis (CF) and raise funds to support people living with CF like their son Ari.

Giving a gift this Christmas will help support families like Ari’s through the tough times. Just $65 is enough to provide a support kit for parents of newly diagnosed CF babies. Read more of Ari's story at our website.

Busselton Golf Day

The Rotary Club of Busselton Geographe Bay are hosting their second Golf Day for cystic fibrosis on 30 November with the help of the Busselton Golf Club.

You can enter as a team of 4 players for $200 or as an individual for $50. Entry includes a game of golf on the beautiful Busselton Golf Course, a fresh roll for lunch (delivered to you on the course) and a sausage sizzle after the game.
