the Filmmaker’ event that will
include a screening of Dirt Music
director Gregor Jordan’s previous
film, Two Hands (1999).

Gregor Jordan is a film and television writer/ director/ producer born
in Sale, Victoria in Australia. His first short film 'Swinger' won first
prize at Tropfest before taking out the Jury Prize at the 1995 Cannes
Film Festival. His debut feature film 'Two Hands' starring Heath Ledger,
Bryan Brown and Rose Byrne won Australian Film Institute awards
for Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Film.
Jordan’s other films include 'Buffalo Soldiers' starring Joaquin Phoenix
and Ed Harris, for which he won a British Independent Film award for
best screenplay; 'Ned Kelly' starring Heath Ledger, Naomi Watts and
Geoffrey Rush; 'The Informers' with Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger,
Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke, and 'Unthinkable' starring Samuel
L Jackson, Michael Sheen and Carrie Anne-Moss.

He recently was the head writer and co-creator on the upcoming
Channel 7/ Roadshow TV series 'Australian Gangster' with producers
John Edwards and Dan Edwards. His other TV work includes writing,
directing and producing the ABCTV documentary 'The Swimmer' about
Olympian Ian Thorpe and writer, director and executive producer on the
critically acclaimed ABCTV series 'Old School' starring Bryan Brown
and Sam Neill.
