BIG NEWS! Growing Bolder is thrilled to announce that it recently won Grand Prize at American Public Television's PitchFest Live! competition in Baltimore, Maryland. The $75,000 prize will be used toward production of innovative new pledge programming in 2019, in a project called Growing Bolder: Launch Pad to What's Next.
American Public Television (APT) is the leading syndicator to U.S. public television stations, and launched PitchFest! as an initiative designed to find strong, innovative new content for public television viewers. Five finalists were chosen after a rigorous application and proposal process, and each had 8 minutes to make a final pitch to public television programmers and distributors, at APT’s Marketplace event. The judges then critiqued and voted on each proposal, selecting the one they deemed most viable and more innovative for the Grand Prize.
Launch Pad to What’s Next is in pre-production, and will be a 90-minute pledge program, including:
- Turnkey, broadcast-ready program with customizable pledge breaks for local stations and talent.
- Motivational segments featuring world-renowned experts in health, wealth, functional fitness, longevity, caregiving and much more.
- A companion online seminar to provide viewers with specific, personalized, actionable steps to identify and create what’s next in their own life. These tools include downloadable workbooks, online questionnaires and quizzes and more.
