The University of Utah is performing a study on the performance of a network of low-cost, air-quality sensors, and we are looking for volunteers to host sensors.
There is no cost to participate, but volunteer hosts need to:
live between 1700 and 2100 South and 300 to 700 East.
have an outdoor power outlet where you have good wifi and slightly sheltered location (like under an overhang).
The sensor is small (about the size of a smoke detector, see image), and its data and power use are negligible. If needed, the project can provide some assistance with installation.
Help your community by becoming an Energy Ambassador! Utah Clean Energy is currently looking for individuals who want to improve community health by cutting down pollution that comes from energy use in homes. Please direct any questions to Shelby Stults at (801) 903-2027.
