Hello Friends,

In this episode: Only 7 days till Ellangowan and then we are at The Farm at Byron Bay. See upcoming workshops below. Plus a new way to connect and communicate on all things Bio-D.

It would appear that the Biodynamic Love is spreading faster than a weed with no Round-up...which can only be a good thing for the planet!

We recently held a wonderful 2 day Intro to Biodynamics workshop at Tamworth with Jodie and Maurice Bruno hosting an enthusiastic and diverse group of farmers and gardeners.

As a result we now have a BD workshop alumni Facebook group -- thanks for initiating this Jodie. What a great way for us to connect after the course to continue to learn and grow together.

The Facebook Group is for all alumni who have ever been to one of Hamish's 1 day or 2 day Introduction to Biodynamics workshops.

In Other News...

The Farm at Byron Bay will be hosting Patrick Holden on the 29th November as part of his tour to Australia to speak at the 3rd Global Soil Security Conference ‘Soil Security and Planetary Health’ at Sydney University 4-6 December.

Patrick Holden is a Biodynamic farmer, educator, and Founding Director and Chief Executive of the Sustainable Food Trust based in the UK.

The SFT advocates food production systems that are diverse and integrated, those that work with natural systems and obey the law of return so they can be truly regenerative to the earth, and its plants, animals and people, and are currently focusing on a number of key themes and issues, that each have a unique and crucial role to play in increasing understanding or creating more sustainable food systems: The True Cost of Food, Sustainable Livestock, Sustainable Food and Healthy Diets, Soil, and the Principles of Harmony, Health and Education. https://sustainablefoodtrust.org/

This is a great recent article from the SFT called ‘Protection of Aust diverse soils and landscapes’

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Patrick MacManaway for half a day, who was in the Australia as part of his Spring consulting trip, facilitated by Resource Consulting Service (RCS).
Patrick holds 3 day Level 1 and Level 2 ‘Subtle Energy’ workshops and on farm consultations, and brings a holistic perspective to enhancing the health and vitality of landscapes. This re-emerging knowledge is now becoming integrated with great promise for enhancing our immediate domestic and working environments as well as guiding stewardship practices in the landscape at large. For more information see the RCS website.
