EfVET Strategy 2019-2021: Consultation process

                                                    

EfVET Steering Committee is seeking your input to the draft Strategy 2019-2021 presented in Como. To add value to the consultation exercise, the following questions should help stimulate the type of feedback that we are seeking from our members.

We value your opinion as this consultation process will lead to the publication of a more representative EfVET Strategy for 2019-2021. Enclosed you will find the EfVET Strategy for 2019 – 2021

EfVET Thematic Teams: working spaces are ready! 

EfVET Thematic Teams started to set up their priorities and established their working spaces on Basecamp after EfVET Annual Conference.
EfVET Thematic Teams (TT) are conceived to:
  • Become a “think tank”, opinion leader, a point of reference for VET in a specific field
  • Aggregate members’ expertise in a specific field
  • Promote innovation and business opportunities among members

EfVET participates EU Vocational skills Week 2018 in Vienna
The third EU Vocational Skills Week organized by the European Commission, in cooperation with the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union from the 5 to 9 November congregated more than 350 participants who joined this edition to discuss about the future of Vocational Education and Training (VET). 

EfVET delegation included members of the Executive Team, Steering Committee and EfVET Members from different countries.

The fourth EU Vocational Skills Week will take place 14-18 October 2019 in Helsinki (Finland).

Erasmus KA2 Brokerage event in Brussels


 
EfVET Members are offered the opportunity to participate at the Erasmus KA2 Brokerage event on the 9th of January 2019 in Brussels.
In order to participate send your ideas of project (concept notes in attached) to (efvet-office@efvet.org that it will realize a service of pre-screening of the proposals and orientation around the share in international consortia. 



Participants will have the opportunity to:
  • Meet European Commission and Agencies officials presenting 2019 priorities of Erasmus+ KA2
  • Pitch project ideas live
  • Reach out other participants via ‘speed-dating’ and networking sessions
  • Exhibit flyers, banners or promotional material for dissemination purpose

Call for the Young Leaders of Industry Forum



DG Grow has launched a call for the Young Leaders of Industry Forum, which we’ll organize during our EU Industry Days on 5-6 February 2019. It’s a project aimed at young Europeans between 21-30 who have fresh ideas on how European industry can contribute to a better society and environment. 
 


DG Grow will give them an opportunity to influence policy, liaise with high-level speakers, pitch to stakeholders and meet fellow young innovators to share ideas in an interactive environment.

School Entreprise & WBL
SWIRL- Student Work experience In Real Life
The SWIRL- Student Work experience In Real Life Erasmus+ Project Meeting took place in Aveiro, Portugal on 27th and 28th September 2018. The host, Escola Secundária José Estevão, presented some student projects and employers working with the school in organizing short-term assignments for students in order to let them have real life on the job experience.
 
Social Inclusion
SENSE-project: Sexual Diversity in Social Domain Vocational Training
The project will run from January 2019 until December 2020. The goal of this project is to improve job opportunities of VET students in the social domain by improving their skills to deal with diversity in general and with sexual diversity (=lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex issues, LGBTI) specifically. For VET teachers we aim to improve their skills to educate students on this. For VET managers we aim that they include sexual diversity in the curriculum and school policy.
 
ICARO project training
Innovative Curriculum on Soft Skills for Adult Learners project International training for adult education counsellors took place from the 12th to the 16th of November. This training gathered pre-selected professionals from Spain, Lithuania, Greece and Germany. The goal was to improve the training platform base on the user experience. You can already read last news of this project
TechSenior final meeting
The TechSenior Project team met at the beginning of October 2018 for its final Transnational partnership meeting in Patras, Greece. Partners drawn from Denmark, Spain, UK and Greece met to discuss the outcome and experiences learnt as a result of the pilot testing of the TechSenior Courses; learning materials and delivery methodologies developed under this Erasmus + project. These have been piloted over recent months in each country.
 
Learning Mobility
Investing in Mobility: ROI-MOB project preliminary results
“Measuring return on investment from EU VET mobility – ROI-MOB” multiplier event on “Investing in Mobility” took place in Reggio Emilia, Italy on the 18th of October 2018, organized by IFOA. During the event was presented the ROI-MOB surveys with the first results on the impact of mobility in professional training realized for the project.

Youngsters nowadays. Where from, where to?
insignare (Portugal)

Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Turkey are asking “Youngsters nowadays. Where from, where to?” Fátima Hospitality Vocational School, from Portugal, is taking part in an Erasmus + KA 2 partnership, together with partners from Greece, Italy, Romania (that coordinates) and Turkey.
How to track VET graduates?

TRACKTION project which focuses on improving VET graduate tracking at institutional level. Tracking is commonly understood here as all systematic approaches that VET institutions put in place to record information on graduates, with regard to their learning progress, skills acquired, perceptions, routes into employment, self-employment, or further training.
Early School Workers
ENAC (Italy)

On the 12th of November took place the kick-off meeting of the project ESW-Early School Workers, a strategic partnership funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The project aims at supporting the renovation of VET systems in Europe with the ultimate goal of tackling Early School Leaving and increasing the employability of youngsters while fostering their active role in the society.
Developing Tolerance in Mutual Understanding in Europe
Insignare  (Portugal)

Ourém Vocational School, from Portugal, has been working with partner schools from Romania (coordinator), Hungary and Turkey, in an Erasmus + KA 2 partnership that represents a combination model of formal and non-formal education, using Arts, ICT and Foreign Languages to promote creativity and innovation.
4.0 competences for the automotive sector
HETEL  (Spain)

AUTO 4.0 is an Erasmus+ project aimed at identifying industry 4.0 competences for the automotive sector at EU level, and to develop training materials for a selected set of those competencies related to specific professional profiles.
