***Don’t forget to download the Bonus Box Tops app to earn even more Box Tops digitally!***
Box Tops for Education has rolled out a new app for your Smartphone or Apple device. It allows our school to earn BONUS Box Tops for items you already buy with the on-package Box Tops. Check the app often as the offers change weekly!
It only takes a few minutes to download the app and create an account which allows you to automatically add bonus Box Tops to our school with just a picture of your receipt. Screen shot or forward the email you receive from the Box Tops Bonus App showing the Receipt ID and the amounts earned and then email to LutzPrepBoxTops@aol.com along with your child’s homeroom teachers name so that they can receive Box Tops credit for their class!
Example: when you purchase Lucky Charms or any Toast Crunch cereals you’ll receive 1 Box Top (10 cents) from the package and if you scan the receipt into the app you will earn an additional 2, so that’s a total of 3 (30 cents) Box Tops for a single purchase! Also, if you purchase from BOXED, they are currently running a 30 Box Tops bonus for 3 eligible purchases (totaling 33 Box Tops - $3.30 of free money!) Art Department Needs Your Submissions for a Leader In Me Exhibit
Calling all LP students! We need your creative input for a permanentLeader in Me Art Exhibit! You will be using your photography skills. We would be delighted to have each student participate.
Here are the steps….
Step #1: Find objects that represent how you practice one of the 7 Habits. For example, you could use soccer socks to represent Habit #3, Put First Things First, to show that you put “First Things First” by practicing soccer drills before you watch TV.
Step #2:Arrange those objects into the acronym letters, L.I.M. (see example pictures)
We will make a large collection of everyone’s photographs for the display. Thank you for helping!!
Habit of the Month November: Put First Things First
Parent Tip of the Week: "Putting first things first means organizing and executing around your most important priorities. It is living and being driven by the principles you value most, not by the agendas and forces surrounding you." -DR. STEPHEN R. COVEY
Reminder: Update to Severe Weather Policy The following was emailed to all families prior to Fall Break, please review the following notice as it is different than previous procedures in lightning delays (please share with other designated persons that pick up your student so they are aware as well):
If lightning, weather warnings, or other weather-related elements deemed unsafe for staff and students to follow normal dismissal procedures, LUTZ PREP will halt/stop dismissal and have students and staff remain in the building until it is safe to resume.
We ask that parents remain in their cars while dismissal is stopped. The school will send out messages via text system in an effort to keep parents notified of updates as the school receives them.
If your contact information changes at any time, please make sure you update your student's records with our registrar or send an email to admissions@lutzprep.org.
Thank you for partnering with us to help keep safety a top priority!
