Lifelong Learning: Evidence Meets Implementation Lecture and Workshop Series 

This new lecture and workshop series, offered by the Office of Lifelong Learning (L3), in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, will help those interested in implementing evidence to:

-  Engage with stakeholders and users.
-  Explore implementation frameworks and their utilities.
-  Use qualitative approaches to build solid foundations.
-  Use human-centered design to create tools & promote uptake.
-  Explore advances in shared decision-making.

1. Tuesday, December 4, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Engaging Stakeholders: strategies and learnings. 
2. Tuesday, January 29, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Grounding implementation in theoretical approaches: models, frameworks, and theories.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an ambitious agenda aiming to improve global outcomes across a range of social and economic development issues. While evidence-informed policymaking approaches have helped drive progress on a number of health issues, a new partnership among the Forum, its peers in 14 countries, International Development Research Centre (Canada’s premier development-research funding body) and the Hewlett Foundation aims to focus on social systems. 2. Top Ten Lessons learned about rapid-learning health systems across Canada

Canada’s health systems and research systems are increasingly putting patients and rapid learning and improvement at the center of their priorities. The framework of rapid-learning health- and social-systems has the opportunity to get the different parts of the health system and research system working collaboratively to drive improvements in the patient experience and in health outcomes. Join the presenters as they share insights into the benefits of this approach and how provinces and territories can move forward.
