The CCCN team is pleased to announce the launch of three new tools to help city leaders and their partners support children’s equitable access to nature. Our Youth Leadership Development tool describes best practices in developing youth voice, connection to nature, and engagement in city planning processes. Our Nature Connection in Early Childhood Sites tool describes best practices in creating outdoor learning environments and supporting nature preschools to connect young children to nature in their daily life. Finally, our updated Research Digest on Equitable Access to Nature’s Benefits (below) describes current disparities in and barriers to nature access, the benefits of equitable access to nature, and promising practices to support equitable access.
