Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ~ Isaiah 43:18-19
Merry Christmas from the University of Oregon! I’m so grateful for all that the Lord has done and excited to see what else the Lord brings into the next year. And what a wonderful holiday season it has been! Thank you for your faithful prayers and for taking the time to keep updated with what Jesus is up to here in Eugene.

Thank you from Chi Alpha!

As we wrap up the year, it's crazy to think about how far we've come. We've been celebrating a great year with our Chi Alpha community as well as spending some extra time honoring our student leaders (pictured above).

I think one of the coolest parts of this year is watching students own their personal ministry and reach out to their peers. I met Abi (pictured below) this last summer after her pastor had connected her to Chi Alpha. Soon after the school year got started, she got involved and joined Joyce's life group. This was the first year Joyce had lead a life group by herself and seeing her step up to take on the challenge has been so exciting. I've been watching Joyce and Abi develop their friendship and it's so encouraging to see Joyce welcome Abi into our community and mentor her. This is what we're all about in Chi Alpha--training up disciples of Jesus who make more disciples of Jesus!
I think one of my favorite things that we do in Chi Alpha each year is our "Not Quite Christmas Party." We talk about Jesus' birth, sing Christmas carols, decorate cookies and host a white elephant gift exchange. You never know what people are going to bring and it's always a good time!
