Christmas Offering

Hey Church Family!

This coming weekend marks the beginning of our opportunity to give towards our annual CHRISTMAS OFFERING.

Due to the generosity the Lord has grown within us over the past year, we have been able to take some strong first steps in our desire to be a sending church. In 2018, we have been able to send people from our church into our city, across our country, and to different places around the world with the life-changing news of Jesus Christ! Not to mention the important discipleship ministries that continue to grow and thrive right here in our own church.

With that in mind, I’d like to encourage you to prayerfully consider how you can give to this year’s Christmas Offering. A few important details to keep in mind regarding this:

SEEK
- Ask the Lord to lead you in how you can be involved and what you can give financially to this year’s Christmas Offering.
SACRIFICE
- Respond to God’s leading in your life by giving generously, sacrificially, and joyfully to the Lord’s work (2 Corinthians 8-9). This will look different for everyone, but I pray that our giving will be a response to the abundance of peace, hope, and joy that God has given us in Christ.
SEND
- Continue to pray for God to:
  - open doors in your life for the spread of the gospel
  - strengthen us, as a church, to be disciples who make disciples
  - send missionaries from our church who will take the gospel to the ends of the earth (Matthew 28:18-20).

Seek. Sacrifice. Send. How is God leading you to be a part of this?

Starting this weekend (and for each weekend through December), there will be special “CHRISTMAS OFFERING ENVELOPES” available in the Worship Centre and at the Welcome Desk. You can also visit our website to give to the Christmas Offering online.

Please keep in mind that our giving toward the Christmas Offering is above and beyond our regular giving. Our goal this year is to give $80,000. Currently, we are about $40,000 behind in our budgeted giving in 2018. We are praying for the Lord to help us eliminate that deficit before the end of the year but if a deficit still exists, then some of our Christmas Offering will be used to close that gap, and as much of our offering as possible will be used to support mission-based efforts that will advance the kingdom of God through the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for joining us in this endeavour. Pray with us for the Spirit of God to move in power, for Christ to be exalted, and for God to be glorified as 2018 comes to a close.
