Pet Piggies on Parade 2019 is here!

The calendars are here!

Thanksgiving weekend was a busy one for me, with lots of driving and eating and working! Thank you for your patience while I tried to get the 2019 calendars ready; the 5x7 postcard calendar is at the printer, and the Pet Piggies on Parade calendar is now available in the CavyMadness Gift Shop! ($6.75 for a calendar in case / $5.50 for calendar pages only)

Getting this calendar printed this year has been a comedy of errors... I have an old laser printer that, while still working smoothly, tends to get cranky at the most bizarre moments. I had to do some (long-overdue) maintenance, but now it's right as rain. I actually ended up printing these calendars professionally, but I've kept the price low to say thank you for your patience this year.

The 2019 calendar has a new feature...

Every now and then a guinea pig will go to the Rainbow Bridge right before the calendar prints, or during the calendar's year. Two of the 2019 piggies recently passed, so you will notice a tiny rainbow icon next to their name. This is my way of honoring those piggies who are no longer with us at mealtime, but who are always in our hearts.

These are the available cavy cozies at the moment; my mother is working on additional cozies, which I hope to get in soon. Sorry, boars; "boy patterns" are coming soon!

Norman is back! I was getting low on stock, but I found additional Norman plushies for holiday gifting. Some Normans are from Ty; others are licensed by Secret Life of Pets. He's adorable, isn't he?

Thank you all for your patience while I try to upgrade CavyMadness; I am currently switching the entire site contents to WordPress, and I'm testing shop options in order to give visitors to the site a smooth, easy-to-understand interface. As the saying goes, "slow and steady wins the race," right?

And please check out our new Facebook Community; it's a companion group to the CavyMadness Facebook page, where everyone can post, answer questions, and generally talk among ourselves about guinea pigs. The group is closed--and, therefore, a small group. I recently held a poll asking whether I should open up the group, since currently new members must be approved by moderators. It seems that piggy people prefer to keep the group quiet and protected, but we'd love more cavy enthusiasts to join the conversation! We hope to see you there.
