God is awesome! The Holy Bible is God's Word to us. God freely gives the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST! Can you tell that I'm excited about Father God and His Word? For me, the Great Commission is something I'm naturally driven to do by love. I think everyone ought to know God's saving grace through Jesus Christ, and experience the Holy Spirit's teaching, comfort, and empowerment to live a righteous life. Father God wants ALL to come to Him through Jesus Christ, regardless of what language they speak or where they live. That is why it gives me great joy that you who partner with us enable me to focus my work time on delivering God's Word to people in every country of the world with 811 (and counting) freely redistributable Bible translations.
It might encourage you to take a peek at eBible.org/metrics from time to time. This month, we see a new record high of over 2.5 million Scripture deliveries (chapter views plus Bible downloads) and the month isn't even over, yet. One of the areas showing increase is in the Adzera language spoken in and around the Markham Valley, Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. They went from 512 chapter views last month to over 64,000 this month. That is pretty impressive with a population of not much more than 30,000 speakers of that language.
Village Children
When I took the picture above in Bulal Village, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea, there was no telephone service at all anywhere in their village. Now there is mobile phone service from two different carriers, each with Internet access, there. Affordable smart phones are available in Madang town, about a 2 hour PMV ride away. These children, now young adults, can be reached with digital copies of God's Word from PNG.Bible.
Digital Bible distribution is amazingly cost efficient, especially where we don't have to concern ourselves with collecting money for downloads or access, but it is not free. Yes, it is free for the end users (who often have no way to pay, anyway), but it costs us money. Donations from our generous partners allow us to keep giving away God's word freely to those who need it most by paying for:
High capacity web hosting services (including 2 dedicated servers)
Domain name rentals (currently 117 domain names)
Computer and mobile device hardware
Software, including software development tools
Office space
Utilities, Internet access, and miscellaneous expenses
Conference travel and expenses
Highly skilled labor
I don't like to ask for money for myself, so I won't. I'll ask for money to serve people all over the world with free access to the Holy Bible. More importantly, we ask for your prayers. We truly need prayer to prevail in spiritual warfare and claim our victory in Jesus Christ.
