Buddy Run
Our first annual Buddy Run the Anti-Bullying Fun Run held on 21 October brought almost 1,000 children and families together, stepping up against bullying and spreading the message that bullying is never ok.
Kids ran, walked and danced their way along the 1km run and then had a ball with the family-fun on offer in the Event Village. It was a beautiful, uplifting event that promoted friendliness, inclusion and respect.
Huge thanks to the Department of Education and Training for helping make our first year possible, and our sponsors Spotless, Pexa, Demos, Spotlight, Hairhouse Warehouse, as well as Richmond Football Club for their support on the day.
If you couldn't make it on the day, you can hold your own Buddy Run - email events@amf.org.au to find out how.
We hope you'll join us next year for an even bigger and better event!

Stars in remote Aboriginal communities
Continuing our work with Stars Foundation, we're mentoring and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander girls and young women in Katherine, to finish Year 12.
Our work is critical in supporting them, with 1 in 2 Indigenous Australians reporting image-based abuse victimisation. This includes workshops exploring staying safe online, protecting against cyber bullying, plus the do’s and don’ts of posting online.

Building an eSmart Australia
We're on our way to building an eSmart Australia, thanks to the Queensland Government’s pledge of $450,000 in funding to Dolly’s Dream, supported by the Foundation. We'll roll-out eSmart to 100 schools, deliver 50 Connect workshops and provide 400 schools with the Digital Licence.
Also on eSmart news, the new and next part of the eSmart journey is eSmart Membership, keeping eSmart schools and libraries informed on cyber safety and continuing to keep children and communities safe online.

Supporting Dolly's Dream
Established in memory of Amy 'Dolly' Everett who ended her life at just 14 years after relentless bullying, Dolly's Dream is being supported by the Foundation, beginning with tailor-made Connect workshops in regional NT and Qld to inform people on the issue of bullying.
Starting in Katherine, there are free workshops for parents, children and another for teachers. Check the Dolly's Dream website for Connect workshops coming up in your area.
