We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. In light of the season of gratitude and giving, we are excited to announce that Giving Tuesday is tomorrow! For those of you who have never heard of Giving Tuesday, here’s a brief explanation: Thanksgiving happens on Thursday. The deals happen on Black Friday. Small businesses are promoted on Small Business Saturday. The internet has claimed Cyber Monday.

But the Tuesday after Thanksgiving… that Tuesday is for giving back. Last year millions were donated to nonprofits on #GivingTuesday!

We would invite you to consider joining the millions of people who are making donations on Giving Tuesday (November 27th).

We do want to share some ways you can give to Hope & A Future’s mission. We understand it can be a little uncomfortable to talk about money, but we have some really interesting ways for you to donate and want to make sure you know all of your options.

1. We have a unique way for you to give this Giving Tuesday which will make your money go further. This year, Facebook and Paypal are matching up to $7 million in donations that are given through Facebook starting at 7AM CST. If you go to the Hope and a Future Facebook page, towards the top there is a blue rectangular "donate" button. If you donate through that link - your donation will be matched! The matching will take place until the $7 million runs out so be sure to head over there in the morning so your donation can be matched!

2. Board member, Carrie Rice and Executive Director, Karin Krause have also created their own fundraisers on Facebook. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing links to our Facebook page or even creating a fundraiser on your own social media page are great ways to get the word out!

3. We can always take the typical donations: cash or check.

4. You can also donate with a credit card or through direct deposit from your bank account.

5. Also, for you online shoppers, name us as your beneficiary for the Amazon Smile program - we receive a percentage of your purchases as a donation from Amazon!

6. As a final thought, we are able to receive donations of appreciated stock, real estate and from IRA accounts processed through the National Christian Foundation.
