It’s dark at breakfast, dark at tea. Trees are popping up in reception areas. Michael Buble has emerged from hibernation and onto shop PA systems once more and the funny smelling office decorations have come out of that cupboard in the corner. It can only mean one thing.*
Christmas is on the way. In fact, there’s less than a month until the last day of term (21 December this year).
As always, our Family Information Service Directory is packed fuller than an overfilled stocking, so if you’re looking for things to do this festive season make sure you take a look! Here's a few suggestions to whet your appetite.

Our front door in your community this festive season
Your local library is so much more than books and DVDs
Did you know they hold events? That it’s a meeting place for reading groups and support groups? That there are Digital Helper volunteers that can help with getting online from anything from online shopping to sending emails? That your local library team can help with blue badge and bus pass applications as well? And if you can’t get to the library one of our Home Library Volunteers could bring it to you.
Every year we agree to knock it off with the roadworks over the Christmas period, and 2018 is no exception.
As with every year, we’re halting all non-essential roadworks on the 10th of December.
