New Community Shop Opening in Wigginton
Wigginton's Community Shop opens on 1st December, with its official opening on 7th December. It includes a cafe where the coffee will be served in compostable cups. Why not give the shop a try? We wish this venture every success. Remember the old adage "use it or lose it" (which applies equally to shops and services in your own town).
Meantime, the community shop in Wilstone goes from strength to strength.

Christmas is coming. Some of us will be thinking about buying a Christmas tree, or maybe dusting off an artificial tree. Thermal imaging is on offer again this autumn and winter by our volunteers. Thermal imaging identifies where heat and thus £££'s are being lost from buildings.
Anyone living in HP23 postcode area can ask for a survey, whether for your house, or a public building.
Renters can have a survey as well because there are often some simple things you can do as a renter to reduce your energy bill.
Surveys are done midweek evenings, and followed up by an electronic report which suggests practical ways to reduce heat loss that are specific to your building. We request a discretionary donation of £15 for the survey and report.

Cruise Ships Powered by Waste Fish
No, your diary is not on the blink! It is not 1st April. Apparently, the Norwegian expedition cruise line Hurtigruten plans to convert six of its cruise ships to run off biogas made from residues from fish processing factories.
