The Impromptu Team

Houston........Impromptu has landed!

Impromptu in Houston In partnership with Oliver Wyman, Impromptu is delivering a high impact, skills based workshop designed to help senior leaders in one of the world's top oil and gas businesses, build a performance culture.

Using a combination of role play scenarios developed through extensive research in the business and offering the participants a chance to work on the day with challenging performance conversations based on their own experiences, the programme is proving realistic, challenging and stimulating.

This programme has been part of Impromptu's growth outside of the UK and we have recruited and trained a dedicated team of role players based in New Orleans and Houston to support the programme when delivered in the US.

Sri Lankan Wedding Dream!

Many, many congratulations to Phil and Lesley Smith who tied the knot in absolute style on 18th April 2011. They would like to thank everyone for all their kind words and cards and as you can see, they had the most fantastic time! Thank you so much for sending us this photo to share with everyone!

Other major changes for Phil Croft:

"As most of you will know, as well as getting married, I am planning some major changes in my life and how I run it going forward (like I'll actually have any say in that after 17 April!!!). One of those major changes will relate to where I live, and the current plan is for Lesley and I to resettle in the Blackpool area. Naturally, changes on such a scale have prompted me to re-evaluate many things, and one of the biggest of these is my position with Impromptu, so...

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that my relationship with Impromptu will be changing. By agreement with the directors I will be standing down as a director of the company on the 31st July 2011 (company year end), and becoming fully self-employed again from 1st August with a shift of emphasis towards building my skills as a role player, trainer/facilitator, actor and (fingers crossed!) freelance writer. I will still appear from time to time as a role player, so you haven't got rid of me yet! As exciting as this is, it is, as I am sure you will guess, also mixed with sadness following a remarkable 15 years as a director of such a great company, of which I am immensely proud. Following my return as a married man in May I will be working with Connie, Steve and Nigel, to ensure as seamless a transition as possible. In the short term I will be speaking directly to those of you who deal directly with me to collect any thoughts, concerns and preferences you may have moving forward.

Finally, I want to extend my deep and profound thanks to you for the work that we have shared over the years, and wish you all health, wealth and happiness. As one ex-footballing colleague used to say, "I'll see you at the far post"."
