"Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen."

Cycles for Christmas  is in its 21st year of providing children in the Sumter area with bicycles and tricycles for Christmas. Over 3000 bikes have been distributed over the years. You can help.  Donations of bicycles are currently being accepted. Drop off your old bikes, trikes or anything that children can ride, at any Sumter area fire station in Sumter County (Alice Drive is preferred).  Handy with tools or maybe a scrub brush? Bicycle repair days have already started on Saturday mornings at the home of Tom Lawrence, 926 Club Lane, Sumter.  Next dates are, Saturdays: December 8, 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, December 15, 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.  Bikes will be given away on Dec 22 at Westside Baptist church. The gym will be full of bikes. Children are invited through an application process in coordination with area services and schools. Many folks are needed to assist children and families in selecting just the right bike for every child.  Volunteers are needed from 8.00 am to 11.00 am. Over 250 children and there families are expected.   For more information or if God moves you to give financially, you may contact Tom Lawrence, 803.983.2875. Prayer Requested  Please pray for the vestry as we prepare the 2019 Budget and Mission & Ministry goals for next year.  Also please pray for the Nominations Committee for two vestry vacancies (including Senior Warden), for those willing to represent the parish at Diocesan Convention (March 15 & 16, 2019) and for other diocesan nominations.

Legal Update:  Judge Dickson Will Determine What the Supreme Court Opinions Means  At the hearing on November 19, Judge Dickson in commenting on the present ruling observed, “Usually when I get something remitted it’s clear what I’m supposed to do.” In this case, however, interpreting the Supreme Court ruling will entail “trying to ferret out what they meant.” In concluding he observed, “I have to decide and whatever is decided will be appealed by one side or the other.” The Judge indicated he would be sending follow up questions by email for both sides.  Please continue to pray for a godly ruling and in the meantime, let us continue to focus on the Mission & Ministry that God calls us in the present and future.
