Annual Frederick Pugh Memorial Concert

On Saturday Nov 24th, at 7.30 pm David Hamilton presents the annual concert celebrating the contribution of the Pugh family to St. Mary's musical life. This year the concert features music from Britain and Germany in the FWW. David Jasper will give some background to the texts.
Frederick Pugh was the organist and choir master at St. Mary's for 40 years. Sadly his son Frederick was killed in the FWW. Frederick's sister, Stara, generously endowed the church in their memory to support our music. Our concert series encourages young musicians through the year, as well as featuring our choirs and the fully restored Foster & Andrew's Organ.

Admission is £7 (full) £5 (concession) and £1 (student) including refreshments.

Our AGM is this Sunday 25th November

Everyone is welcome to our AGM following the 10am Sung Eucharist. The AGM will be held in the Gathering Space at 11.30am. The documents for the AGM will be available but you can read them in advance by clicking on to the link for each document listed below:

Christmas Fayre, Saturday 1st December

This year's Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday, 1st December, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, and tickets, priced at £3, will be available this Sunday. Please put this date in your diary and help support this event by selling tickets to family and friends. This year promises to be bigger and better than previous years with over 20 stalls offering a wide variety of wonderful crafts. If you are able to help by providing any of the following it would be very much appreciated: • crafts of any kind to sell on our Craft Stall • donations and unwanted gifts to sell on our Gifts Stall • we are especially in need of bottles of any shape, size or type for the Bottle Stall. eg. Sauces, juice, perfume, nail polish, wine, spirits, water, etc. • raffle prizes • baskets and food items for hampers • home-baking, jams, etc. We would ask that the baskets, food items and bottles be handed in by 18th November in order to give us time to sort things out and make up the hampers. Please pay attention to 'sell by' dates on food items. Help will be required on the day so please speak to June Fearns, Nancy Carson, Chris Cornfoot or Barbara Stobie if you are available. All monies raised on the day will go towards church funds.
