Devotional Corner:

Psalm 107:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving a day to be thankful of all the wonderful things our Lord has done for us over the last year. Before my family ate we all went around the table and said what we were thankful for. The main things we were thankful for were our family, our pets, our job and our loving Savior. After we asked for thanks we got filled up on delicious Thanksgiving food like turkey, potato and gravy, cranberries etc,

While our Heavenly Father wants to fill us up on good food each day to keep us physically healthy, he even more wants to feed us spiritual food. What is this spiritual food? It is the Word of God, The Bible. When I need strength or comfort I turn to the Bible to lift me up when I'm feeling down. I look to it to give me strength as I read about Daniel, David or Moses's walk with the Lord. And as I read about the Good news in the Gospels I am brought closer to my savior Jesus Christ.  I encourage you in this Holiday season to not only reach out for physical food but to spiritual food as well. Since our savior Jesus Christ wants to be apart of our family as well.

Shawn L.

Dear Friends

I am happy to invite you to be aware that a SS cell group continues.  I am working with Mark Everett and others to coordinate this Bible study / fellowship group.

In 14 weeks we cover some basic truths which bind the Seventh-day Adventist Family together.  Our textbook will be the Bible supported by the classic work by Ellen G. White, Steps To Christ.

Please see me or Mark Everett with the list of topics. You can also email Shawn Latham at atstar65@me.com for a digital PDF version.

If you want to review some delightful truths, or you would like to bring someone who is inquisitive about what Seventh-day Adventists believe, this may be just what you are looking for.

Warmly,
Pastor John
