One month until Christmas!!! OVCP's 'why' and 'how' for this holiday season

ONE MONTH UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

As Christmas approaches, we are often encouraged by all of the people who are using this time of year to give back. These gifts make a direct impact on how much we are able to do in the upcoming year.

Your gifts truly are seen and used as investments at OVCP: investment in people, infrastructure and ultimately holistic sustainable development for our community.

It is exciting to see the return on these investments. We see it in the children who have grown up with us and are now employed, hard-working, Christ-following young adults. We see the return in the standard of education that is being provided at our school and the students who now have new opportunities available to them.

Another very tangible way we have seen the return on investment is that 30% of our operating expenses were funded through income generated within Uganda in 2017. This percentage has been steadily growing each year as we continue to invest in Uganda.

We can't wait to recap on all of the growth that has happened in 2018 with you! Thank you for partnering with us!

Here are three specific areas that your support will be going towards:

We had to turn away over 50 students last year, so we are planning to expand our school so that we can make room for more students! You can read more about the costs here.
Each year we have more students leaving our primary school and going on to Secondary school, College, and Trades Schools. It is our aim to see these youth fully educated and equipped. This means that we hope to be paying for over 60 students' school fees and tuition in 2019!
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world! With more and more young people looking for employment every day we recognize the need for entrepreneurship. In 2019 we want to see more youth receive training at our Equip conference and we want to be able to invest in more business start-ups to create more jobs in our communities.
