Pay with your eyes

These are the blockchain examples we like: use your eyes to pay and let the blockchain keep an eye on your account. EyePay is being used in the Azraq Refugee Camp of the UNHCR in Jordan. Iris recognition technology helps to identify a person in the supermarket, the blockchain makes sure there is enough money left to shop.

Just dig it

Just Diggit is an organisation specialised in landscape restoration. Their motto: 'If we can warm up the air, we can also cool it down." For example, they do so by digging rain water harvesting bunds with local communities. Together with digital design company Dept they came up with a digital wallet that brings donors and local workers together. A donor transfers funds into a digital wallet, a farmer digs a bund and makes a picture of it. When a trained local approves the work, a fixed fee is transferred to the farmer's wallet.
